Celebrating Read Across America in PUSD! 📚✨
PUSD proudly celebrated Read Across America across our schools, bringing the joy of reading directly into our classrooms and highlighting the power of literacy districtwide.
At Ranch Hills Elementary, students were captivated by special guest readers who generously shared their time and love of books. We were honored to have Board Vice President Dr. Roberta Perlman and Superintendent Darren Knowles read to students, alongside dedicated volunteers from the Pomona Police Department and former PUSD Administrator Todd Riffell. Their presence made the day extra meaningful for our young learners.
At Lopez Elementary, the excitement continued as Mayor of Pomona Tim Sandoval joined students for story time, along with La Nueva Voz/Chamber Board Member Renee Barbee and additional guest readers from PUSD School Mental Health and the Pomona Public Library. Their participation showcased the strong community partnerships that support our students both inside and outside the classroom.
We are grateful to all of our guest readers who helped make Read Across America a memorable celebration. Together, we continue to inspire a lifelong love of reading in every PUSD student. 📖💙
